    Phoenix, was born and raised in the African Hebrew Israelite community in Dimona, a small city in the desert of Israel. Phoenix who was abused as a child, lives in post-trauma, uses sculpture and rap song writing to help himself overcome it. But the road to healing is still very long and Phoenix knows he deserves to be happy.

    The prestigious DocAviv Editing Award has been presented this year to The Wounded Healer, by Yochai Rosenberg. The jury remarked that "the editor’s authorial stamp is strong and skillful, weaving the story with great sensitivity and leading us from scene to scene with natural confidence. The editing makes a series of twists and turns while compassionately revealing a complex character coming to terms with his tragic past."

    The Love Letter selected to Tribeca Film Festival

    The Love Letter, written and directed by Atara Frish, is entered in the short films category of New York's Tribeca Film Festival.

    Frish's movie is about an IDF basic training commander, played by Gili Beit Halachmi, who receives a mysterious love letter from one of her female soldiers. She suspects the letter is a fraud and is torn between sticking to military discipline rules and her yearning to feel, if only for a moment, loved.

    This new award is added to this week's announcement that Muhi has also won Best Documentary at the Sochi International Film Festival and Awards. The award will be presented at the upcoming gala event on 23 March in London as part of SIFFA UK program.
