Synopsis

Friendship, love, peace and freedom—these ideals drew young hearts from around the globe to Nova’s EDM music festival in the South of Israel. But as the sun rose on October 7th, the fantasy shattered. Rockets sliced through the sky, and the dancing stopped. Confusion morphed into fear as gunfire erupted amidst the chaos. Terror breached the border fence and unleashed violence on the unsuspecting people in its rawest form. It is a stark portrayal of the experiences of those who survived and those who didn’t. The film meticulously reconstructs the events, capturing the raw emotions and heroism that emerged.

Reviews

  • "The director handled the daunting task brilliantly, and the movie is compelling, harrowing, and heartbreaking from start to finish."
    - Hannah Brown, The Jerusalem Post
  • "We Will Dance Again may be the most powerful film I've ever seen. From a terrorist attack of barbaric depravity on innocent young people celebrating life, love, and nature at a music festival, Yariv Mozer has somehow made a film that makes the viewer feel the optimism, beauty and joy of that day before it is turned into the darkest nightmare, and that is even more shattering with the awareness of the happiness that came before it. It is not an easy film to watch, and it cannot have been easy to make, but it was immeasurably harder for those who experienced that day. I wish this film had never needed to be made. But since it did need to be made, it needs to be seen. We cannot let this darkest day fade into memory."
    - Wendy Revel, President & Executive Director, The backStorygroup
  • "A powerful reminder of the devastating impact of terrorism and the resilience of the human spirit. It is a must-see for anyone who wants to understand the events of October 7th and their aftermath."
    - Hollywood Outbreak
  • "Mozer tells the Nova massacre story as a white-knuckle action thriller, interviewing about a dozen survivors of the attack — all of whom are in their 20s — to detail their fear, pain and, to an extent, their hopes for the future. "
    - The Hollywood Reporter
  • "An esential October 7 documentary."
    - Solzy at the Movies
  • "The documentary tells the story of these Israeli citizens - utterly defenseless in the face of Hamas' indiscriminate onslaught - and it does so unflinchingly, exhaustively, and movingly."
    - Rachel Aroesti, The Guardian
  • "The film vividly brings to life the sheer panic and horror of those trying to survive."
    - The Spectator
  • "A shocking document and a tough watch, but a necessary one. "
    - Veronica Lee, The Daily Telegraph
  • "A powerful and heartbreaking film."
    - Hello Magazine
  • "A chilling but important viewing."
    - The Sun
