Synopsis
When thirty-year-old Amit arrives moments too late to see her dying biological mother, she is suddenly thrust into the Jerusalem family she never knew. Attending the shiva, she meets her estranged father, a longtime drug addict, Prosper. Overwhelmed and deeply torn between her adoptive kibbutz upbringing and her newfound roots, Amit secretly attempts to help Prosper get clean. As bitter tensions erupt between both families, Amit finds herself painfully caught between two conflicting worlds. Determined to finally understand the full truth of her past, she chooses to unseal her own adoption file. Based on the director’s true story.
