Synopsis

A harrowing survival drama set within an unimaginable reality. Three young men are abducted and trapped deep inside Hamas tunnels, in a suffocating world of darkness, hunger, fear, and despair. Under extreme conditions, a fragile yet powerful human bond forms between them their only anchor against total collapse.

The wait for rescue stretches to the limits of endurance, and when the light
at the end of the tunnel finally appears, it brings not only hope but also loss,
fracture, and a painful reckoning with the true cost of war. This is a story of
human resilience, tested not only by the will to survive, but by the ability to carry the scars left behind.

For the first time on the big screen, a dramatic adaptation of the story of three hostages whose tragic fate shook an entire nation, courageously exposing the human cost of decisions made in the heart of a chaotic and merciless reality.

Reviews

  • "Using classic prison-break movie tropes, the film manages to keep some suspense throughout, and the drama is not so much about what they did but how they managed to do it."
    - The Jerusalem
  • "Without manipulation, without embellishment, without judgment. And the result? Rare honesty."
    - Srugim
  • "A deeply unsettling work that conveys the terror of captivity through outstanding performances and meticulously chosen locations."
    - Mako
  • "The film’s power lies in the truth it brings to the world and in the story of the heroism of the three hostages who, tragically, can no longer tell their own story."
    - Ice
  • "This is a powerful and painful film, illustrating just how close my brother Alon and his friends were to a different, better ending. Tomer Mahluf, who portrays my brother, bears a striking resemblance to him, making the viewing experience especially chilling and profoundly realistic."
    - Yonatan Shamriz, brother of Alon Shmariz
  • "The story is so tragic and difficult to absorb that the very courage to make a film about it is impressive and demands deep reverence, especially since the film was made in close collaboration with the families of the hostages, who wished to document the final moments of their children. The result is heartbreaking."
    - Ma'ariv
