Home Front
Synopsis
A personal, intimate diary created by combat reservist Noam Sobovich and his director wife, Hila Salomon, captures the shattering rift between home and the war front since October 7th across hundreds of days of duty. The film moves between action scenes in Lebanon, his remote therapy for past trauma resurfacing due to the war, and Hila’s crisis: navigating a difficult pregnancy while caring for her father in his final days.
This dual portrait exposes the intense emotional cost paid by reservists’ families. It unflinchingly examines Israeli masculinity, guilt, trauma, and a relationship under fire.
