Synopsis
Serving as a companion to the new drama, this documentary explores the true story behind the intense battle for “The Stronghold” outpost at the outbreak of the Yom Kippur War. Forty-two soldiers find themselves trapped in a solitary position at the edge of the Suez Canal, caught in the heart of hell. Through moving personal accounts, the film highlights the clash between a resolute commander who refuses to surrender, and a reserve doctor convinced that only yielding would save lives. Under a hail of shells, with depleting ammunition and bleeding wounded, they face the ultimate dilemma: fight to the end or surrender.
