Double Panther
Synopsis
Set in 1970s Jerusalem and based on confidential police files, Double Panther follows Yaakov Elbaz, a criminal recruited by Police Superintendent Avraham Turjeman to infiltrate the Black Panthers movement as a mole. In exchange, the police turn a blind eye to Elbaz’s illegal gambling club. After connecting with charismatic protest leader Saadia Marciano, Elbaz gradually identifies with the movement’s cause and reconnects with his estranged family. Caught between Turjeman’s ruthless demands and growing suspicion from the Panthers, Elbaz’s duplicitous game threatens to destroy everything.
