Cabbage
Synopsis
In the aftermath of a devastating loss, a religious Jewish couple returns home from the maternity ward, their arms empty. Six days after birth, their newborn baby passed away, leaving the mother in deep mourning. While she grapples with grief, her husband attempts to erase all traces of their child, preparing for the upcoming Sabbath. The woman yearns for cabbage leaves to relieve the pain of engorged breasts, while her husband focuses on practical matters. As their emotional paths diverge, the stability of their relationship hangs in the balance, threatening to shatter under the weight of their shared sorrow.
