תקציר
בגיל 88 גייזי צפריר נזכר במבצע חיסול של קולונל מצרי בעזה, שבו לקח חלק בראשית דרכו בשב"כ. הוא מגלה שביתו של חאפז, מושא החיסול, חיה בלוס אנג'לס ומחליט לכתוב לה מבלי לספר לה על חלקו בפרשה. כך מתחיל מסע חקירה אישי של גייזי בפרשת הסיכול הממוקד הראשון שהנהיגה ישראל ברצועת עזה בשנות ה-50. הוא נפגש עם חבריו למבצע החיסול ומגלה מידע חדש ומערער. רגע לפני שיהיה מאוחר מדי, הוא מחליט לעשות עוד מהלך אחרון, לספר לביתו של חאפז כל מה שהוא יודע על המוות של אביה, אולי כך יצליח להשקיט את מצפונו.
