Red Alert
Synopsis
Red Alert, a riveting four-part scripted series depicting the 2023 Hamas attacks in Israel, has been sold to global streaming giant PARAMOUNT+. Red Alert depicts real stories of ordinary people turned heroes; its global premiere was on October 7th, two years to the day of the actual events. The series launched on October 4 on Keshet 12 and is the highest-rated drama in Israel in the last decade.
Created, written and directed by Lior Chefetz (The Stronghold, Sky Raiders) and produced by Keshet Media Group (Homeland, A Small Light) and Academy Award nominee Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction, Inglourious Basterds) with Green Productions (Cinema Sabaya, Menashe, Golda) and the IEF (Israel Entertainment Fund), Red Alert portrays the largest and deadliest massacre in Israel’s history, when more than 1,200 concert-goers, families and individuals near the Gaza border were murdered and 250 kidnapped.
Drawing from the true experiences of those who survived, the series zeroes in on four conflict zones, weaving their courageous personal stories into a cinematic narrative of the devastating terrorist attack that turned southern Israel into a war zone, testing humanity and forging heroism through chaos.
