Palestinians are Jews
Synopsis
What if Jewish ancestry among Palestinians is an acknowledged but heavily guarded open secret? In the provocative documentary, filmmaker Tal Sarid investigates his own family’s fractured history. While his father integrated into Israel, other relatives stayed in Iran and converted to Islam. This personal journey reveals a repeating historical cycle: communities shifting identities over generations simply to survive. Confronting walls of fear and institutional silence, Sarid exposes how modern political borders have hidden a shared lineage. Ultimately, this gripping film challenges our deepest assumptions, revealing that beneath decades of conflict lies a single, deeply intertwined past.
