Synopsis

Ilana arrives for her monthly treatment at the eye clinic. Her doctor is absent and
replaced by Dr. Khoury. Ilana considers herself a liberal woman but there is no way an Arab doctor will give her a shot in the eye. Yohai, who understands his mother is losing her eyesight, won’t let her leave.

Reviews

  • "This bracing reminder of our shared humanity in the face of prejudice and fear is a gradually revealed, tightly edited and beautifully acted metaphor for the judgments we make and the walls we build as societies, and the surprises we find when we do, in fact, open our eyes. "
