Moshe Mirzrahi: Climbing The Mountain
Synopsis
An intimate portrait of Oscar-winning auteur Moshe Mizrahi, tracing his extraordinary journey from a childhood in Alexandria and dreams of Paris to the global stage. Filmed by his lifelong partner, filmmaker Michal Bat-Adam, this sweeping biography uncovers the immigrant roots behind Mizrahi’s masterpieces, including his Academy Award-winning film Madame Rosa (1977).
As Mizrahi pursues international projects overseas, Michal champions independent cinema at home. Separated by oceans, their daily correspondence becomes a poetic diary of longing, the personal cost of genius and the love of cinema.
