Synopsis

Esther Ofarim was once the voice of Israel. A global superstar of the 1960s, she performed alongside icons such as Leonard Cohen, Cher, Tom Jones, and Enrico Macias before retreating into self-imposed seclusion in Hamburg. As war rages in the country she left behind, a young filmmaker begins a series of late-night phone calls with the reclusive legend. Through these intimate conversations and rare archival footage, the film becomes a poignant portrait of an artist confronting memory, belonging, and the quiet price of walking away from fame.
