Sun Bay
Synopsis
In the shadow of Eilat’s grand hotels, a hidden trailer park known as ‘Sun Bay’ is nestled on the beach—a home resort for those escaping their past. Here, a middle-aged garbage collector yearning for family, a veteran battling PTSD, and an elderly Englishwoman trying to rearrange her life, live in self-imposed isolation. As demolition threatens, their stories of escape and fight against loneliness unfold, revealing the deep human need for refuge and belonging.
This intimate and deeply human portrait of life on the margins is the powerful feature debut of IDA Award-winning director Ido Weisman (“Requiem for a Whale”).

Maintaining uncompromising humanism and a naturalistic aesthetic, he draws the viewer into the lives of unlikely protagonists who evoke both insight and empathy."
