Unheard Voices
Synopsis
Unheard Voices is an intimate portrait showcasing eight women’s testimonies about the sexual education they received in the religious Jewish world. After being told as teenagers that they should save themselves for marriage or be treated like used tomatoes in the market, they choose to assume ownership of the discourse surrounding their sexuality and bodies. Through the discovery of their bodies and sexuality at different stages in their lives, from childhood, through adolescence, single life, marriage and birth, they reveal a deep desire for closeness and intimacy.
